Donations

This page explains how support for my open-source work is handled, and why you won't see a public list of who donated how much.

Why no names or amounts

Ko-fi and GitHub Sponsors are third-party payment processors — I never see your card details, but I could see your name and the amount. Under GDPR, publishing another person's donation (their name tied to a specific amount, without clear consent captured for that exact purpose) is personal-data processing I'm not set up to handle responsibly. So by default, nothing about a donation is published here — not the name, not the amount.

Want to be listed instead?

If you've donated and would like to be publicly thanked here — with or without the amount, in whatever name you choose — email me and I'll add you by hand. That's an explicit, opt-in request from you, which is the GDPR-compliant way to do it.
